Dear Mr. & Mrs. Jones,

Thank you again for the Bible studies and books. They are greatly appreciated. I have a couple more questions for you.

I do believe that we are to be baptized after we understand the basic requirements of salvation and then make the decision to follow Jesus as Lord and Saviour. I do also believe that baptism is an act of obedience and not the completion of salvation. I believe accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour is the completion of salvation. Study #30 (Baptism) was not quite clear on the standing of Seventh-day Adventists. My question is, do you believe that you must be baptized in order to be saved? I think I may have already asked you this, but I'm not sure.

My other question concerns the "number of the beast-- 666." I do believe the Catholic Church and their ways, ordinances and doctrines are extremely out of synch with God's Word. But as far as Vicarius Filli Dei adding up to 666, when you apply the numbers that correspond with the Greek letters, this is also true with the emperor Nero. So if Nero wasn't the beast, or Antichrist, etc., how do we know that the pope or the Catholic Church have anything to do with this number?

Thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely and God Bless,
                  Joey, Georgia Prison

Hello

I've enjoyed working in Bible Study Lessons with you all. I have 2 daughters, twins, age 10 years, ask me if they could work the Bible study lesson. And my 9 year old daughter wants to. I'm happy. To hear my children ask to study study God's Holy words brought unexplainable words to me. I'm a happy mother, so please enroll my children into your Bible study. Thank you.

* The following letter is from a prisoner who completed the series some time ago, but still corresponds. *

Dear Jack and Cindy,

May God always bless you all with all His spiritual blessing. I would like to say forgive me for not writing back sooner.

I'll let you all know what the Lord has been doing on this end. We here at the Stevenson Unit (one of the units in the Texas prison system) have been praying for your ministry that the Lord accomplish that which He pleases, and that He prosper in the things He is using you for. I would love to hear more from you all from time to time, but I know that you all have more than me to write. So it's a blessing to receive your Gospel Workers Ministry new letter. And the word for this month was a blessing unto me. Would you see about getting me some more literature to read. I am sending this letter to re-establish contact with you all. I am a person who loved to so the work of the Lord, but I have no one out there to help me do His work. I have the call of God on my life. The Lord has blessed me through your prayers. He is helping me while I am serving time. I will be telling you more about it later, but I am not much of a writer. I just wanted you all to know that I received the letter and I thank you.

Please keep me in your prayers

Time ticks by and memories are made.
The young wait eagerly for time to pass.
Yet old folks pray for time delayed.
That they might stop the hourglass.

Time moves too swiftly, but then again
It moves too slowly, it would seem.
When we are faced with grief and pain
                       Or harboring a broken dream.

The clock may stop, but time moves on:
Too much of the time is wasted.
The years go by and soon are gone
With the joys we've never tasted.

"Love you all always and forever"

                    Gary, Texas Prison
                    Yours in the Lord
